Zac Brandenberg is the co-founder and CEO of DRINKS HOLDINGS, INC (www.drinks.com). DRINKS operates the leading consumer marketplace for high quality and affordable premium wine available for delivery around the United States. Leveraging big data and patent-pending technology, DRINKS maximizes consumer demand by generating customized store shelves and wine packs to match prospective customers with the right wines and transform the way wine is sold online. Zac is also the founder and CEO of Quiris, LLC, which develops technology platform-based businesses in digital advertising technology and e-commerce.
Prior to DRINKS, Zac was the founder and CEO of Hydra, a performance-based, multichannel digital ad platform that delivered new sales, leads, and ad engagements for many of the largest and best-known consumer product and service companies. Launched in 2003 with a proprietary conversion tracking platform, Hydra reached annual revenues in excess of $100 million in less than 5 years, and ranked in the Top 10 of the INC 500 as early as 2007. Hydra was acquired in 2010 by Adknowledge, the largest privately held digital marketplace.
Zac has also been a partner in other successful ventures in the consumer goods and technology platform verticals, including providing the initial investment capital and serving on the Board of Dogswell, one of the fastest growing private pet food businesses, until a majority stake was acquired in 2008 by TSG Consumer Partners. Zac was also a partner and Board member at Teleparent, a technology provider of mass notification services to educational institutions, until its acquisition by Edline, LLC, a portfolio company of Providence Equity, in 2010.
Zac received a dual B.A. in Economics-Accounting and Government from Claremont McKenna College and lives in Los Angeles, CA with his family. He is an active investor in early-stage businesses and serves on the Board of several private companies.
